National Electric Code
The 1990 National Electric Code set forth a new category and organization of multipur- pose cables. These fall into articles 725, 760, and 800. The diagram below summarizes the new categories and organization. Solid lines with arrows indicate substitution may be made in the direction of the arrow. Dashed lines with arrows indicate substitution with restrictions may be made in the direction of the arrow.
